Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for direct hire MIG or TIG Welder jobs in Western Cleveland, Ohio for our client, a growing company that was just awarded a 5 year contract with the US Navy to build ships. In this role, you will perform TIG OR MIG welding on custom parts made from Stainless Steel and other exotic materials, welding in accordance with ASME Code and Military Specifications while reading and interpreting custom blueprints and drawings provided by customers. This position offers multiple shift options across weekdays and weekends, several of which include shift premiums. The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $28.00 dollars per hour, plus shift premiums when applicable, with excellent benefits starting on day one of employment. Training provided for the first 12 weeks to learn essential skills in naval ship building welding techniques. Candidates from outside of Ohio are eligible for a $6.500 relocation bonus paid out in teh first pay check!
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts); includes a $2/hr shift premium.(priority position)
- Weekend 1st Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM; work 36 hours and receive 40 hours of pay.
- Weekend 2nd Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM; $5/hr shift premium
Responsibilities for the TIG Welder job in Western Cleveland, OH include:
- Performing TIG and MIG welding and fabrication on custom parts.
- Welding Stainless Steel, C-276, and Inconel 600 series materials.
- Welding in accordance with ASME Code and Military Specifications.
- Reading and interpreting custom blueprints and drawings from customers.
- Performing grinding, sanding, and cutting using oxyfuel and hand plasma tools.
- Following lean principles along with safety and quality standards.
- Assisting with general welding and shop duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Overall able to commit to the company\'s core values
- Experience in GTAW (TIG), FCAW, and GMAW Spray Transfer (MIG) welding processes.
- Experience in pipefitting is a plus!
- Experience welding Carbon, Stainless, or Nickel-based alloys is a plus!
- Ability to use shop math and understand written job instructions.
- Strong overall mechanical aptitude.
- Recent welding school grads are eligible.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
