The Process Pipe Welder uses hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products, especially pipe and pipe fittings, according to fabrication drawings, especially structural steel, pipe spool, and pressure vessel assemblies. They must be able to set-up and operate various pieces of industrial equipment including, but not limited to, cranes, grinders, welding machines, power tools, and saws. With attention to detail hey must be able to measure accurately and produce work that meets precise design specifications.
• High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Completion of a Welding Certification, apprenticeship program, or equivalent is required.
