RPM Industries, LLC, located in Washington, PA, manufactures a broad range of engine pre-lubrication, fleet preventative maintenance and fluid evacuation technologies employed in the heavy equipment industry. RPM Industries offers OEM and retrofit aftermarket systems for heavy-duty diesel applications in a wide variety of industries.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
RPM Industries is searching for a driven, enthusiastic intern to join our team. Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of information technology. Working closely with our experienced professionals, you will be exposed to a wide range of tasks that will enhance your skills and knowledge in the IT field. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of IT operations within a real-world environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
- Support PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needs.
- Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues.
- Perform other various duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of help desk requests and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. The qualifications we are seeking include:
- Proactive Communication: Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with hardware and software installation, basic networking knowledge, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Customer Focus: Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education: We welcome applications from high school students with a strong interest in IT, as well as college students pursuing a degree in IT or Computer Science. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and learning opportunities for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to explore a career in IT.
