Trinity Solar, one of the nation’s leading residential solar companies, is looking for a Residential Electrician to bring skilled electrical expertise and a commitment to quality and safety to our growing solar operations team. 

Compensation: $30–$45 / hour 

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll perform electrical service upgrades, panel replacements, meter relocations, and other electrical work that supports residential solar installations. You’ll work directly on residential properties, troubleshoot electrical issues, and help ensure solar systems are installed safely, correctly, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Perform residential electrical service upgrades and panel replacements. 
  • Complete utility meter relocations and electrical modifications. 
  • Install wiring, conduit, disconnects, and other solar-related electrical components. 
  • Support solar installation teams with electrical connections and system-related work. 
  • Ensure all electrical work meets National Electrical Code (NEC), local electrical codes, and company quality standards. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation and service work. 
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation, functionality, and safety. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the workday. 
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with homeowners, inspectors, installation teams, and other company personnel. 
  • Document completed work thoroughly, including required photos, job notes, and project details. 
  • Safely use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, and conduit installation equipment. 
  • Maintain company vehicle standards and ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for and secured. 
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards. 
  • Assist with additional electrical, construction, and solar-related tasks as needed. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Valid electrical license required, including Journeyman, Master, or applicable local equivalent. 
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local electrical requirements. 
  • Hands-on experience with residential electrical systems, service upgrades, and panel work. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and determine appropriate solutions. 
  • Experience installing wiring, conduit, disconnects, and related electrical components. 
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and proper installation procedures. 
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. 
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with installation teams. 
  • Professional and courteous communication skills, particularly when interacting with homeowners and inspectors. 
  • Ability to work outdoors and on rooftops when required. 
  • Ability to lift and carry 40–50 pounds regularly. 
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. 
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a strong attendance record. 
  • Ability to successfully follow all company safety and quality requirements. 

Education and Experience: 

  • Valid Journeyman, Master, or applicable local electrical license required. 
  • Residential electrical experience required. 
  • Experience with service upgrades, panel replacements, meter relocations, or similar electrical work preferred. 
  • Solar electrical experience is preferred but not required. 
  • Experience working with NEC requirements and local electrical codes required. 
  • Equivalent combination of training and practical experience may be considered where appropriate. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to work outdoors and on residential jobsites in varying weather conditions. 
  • Ability to work on rooftops and at heights when required. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in elevated or confined spaces as required. 
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40–50 pounds regularly. 
  • Ability to safely use ladders, fall protection equipment, and other required safety equipment. 
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and maintain required driving standards. 
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and other job-related equipment for extended periods of time.
